Big
Reaction at Scottish HTTM
Adaptive's
stand at the Scottish Highways, Traffic
and Transport Management 2003 show [http://www.highways-expo.com].
In Edinburgh was very busy throughout. We
showed here for the first time our ground-breaking
Pocket Signs product, using Pocket PCs for
inexpensive and rapid auditing of highway
signs. One of our visitors asked to see
maps of Scotland, and was astonished to
find the blinking dot of the GPS system
hovering right over them where they stood
in the pavilion!

Adaptive
secure Pocket Signs order from Lincoln
We
are pleased to record an order for a 5-Pocket
PC highways signs auditing system, based
on our Pocket Signs product, from Lincoln
City Council. Lincoln is responsible for
a large land area, but the unique Smooth-Scroll
technology of Pocket Signs delivers instant,
accurate raster mapping for the whole area
on a tiny memory chip the size of a stamp.
Speed of data acquisition was vital for
Lincoln, as their estimated tally of highways
signs is very large,
